Hello and Good-bye For Now

I would like to say hello....(it's been a while)...and good-bye...just for the summer. I have been far too busy with family and home and assorted other projects and events to blog; (such as vacation bible school). I miss you all, but the nice thing about blogging, is....it will still be there. I hope to return in September. Please stop by and use the blogroll; there are plenty of wonderful blogging friends with fresh and inspirational ideas to share.

May God bless you with beautiful weather and refreshment of body, soul and mind these months of summer.

Poetry Friday

The Echoing Green
by William Blake

The sun does arise,
And make happy the skies;
The merry bells ring
To welcome the spring;
The skylark and thrush,
The birds of the bush,
Sing louder around
To the bell's cheerful sound,
While our sports shall be seen
On the Echoing Green.

Old John with white hair,
Does laugh away care,
Sitting under the oak,
Among the old folk.
They laugh at our play,
And soon they all say:
"Such, such were the joys
When we all, girls and boys,
In our youth time were seen
On the Echoing Green."

Till the little ones, weary,
No more can be merry;
The sun does descend,
And our sports have an end.
Round the laps of their mothers
Many sisters and brother,
Like birds in their nest,
Are ready for rest,
And sport no more seen
On the darkening Green.

This & That, Busy, busy, busy!

It's been such a busy time here. We've had so many wonderful sacraments going on, including an Ordination to the Priesthood for a friend of ours yesterday (in another diocese other than our own). Also, in our diocese there was an ordination as well. We are so happy and grateful for the new priests we are blessed with.

Our new priest friend publishes his homilies at his blog, if I may so direct your attention to it:
Proclaim the Truth in Love.

Have a beautiful week ahead, may God bless you abundantly!

St. Boniface, June 5th

"In her voyage across the ocean of this world, the Church is like a great ship being pounded by the waves of life's different stresses. Our duty is not to abandons ship but to keep her on her course.

Let us stand fast in what is right, and prepare our souls for trial. Let us wait upon God's strengthening aid and say to him: "O Lord, you have been our refuge in all generations."

Let us trust in him who has placed this burden upon us. What we ourselves cannot bear let us bear with the help of Christ. For he is all-powerful, and he tells us: "My yoke is easy, and my burden light."

Let us continue the fight on the day of the Lord. The days of anguish and of tribulation have overtaken us; if God so wills, "let us die for the holy laws of our fathers," so that we may deserve to obtain an eternal inheritance with them."
