The following were published by Spare Change Poetry Press (David B. McCoy); these are not dated, but I’m guessing mid-1980s; they were my first attempt at this new form of Haiku.

To refresh my soul,
I draw deep
into my body
this Life Water.

Snow-rose bends
beneath hefty weight
longing for Spring,
stretching for life.

Walking home
in the midnight,
trying out the legs
for some new change.
