As most people are contemplating taking down the Christmas decorations and tree, Catholics are just now "celebrating" Christmas. Christmas begins "on" Christmas, and continues over the 12 days of Christmas. This is known as Christmastide, or Christmas Season, which lasts all the way to the Epiphany celebration, when many Catholic churches celebrate a meal together with their church families.
