Certe bonum certanem! Fight the good fight!
I *love* this! What happened to kids protecting each other? When I was growing up there were two students with Downs Syndrome in my class and we protected them from the bullies! Not to say that no one was bullied because we were, myself included, but we recognized that there were some students who were just "hands off", ya know? What's happened to that mentality? Why are our children so anxious to prey upon each other these days? It's sad.
I know, right..I blame parents and educators ...if I knew my sons or daughter were bullying someone, they'd meet with serious repercussions at home, but that means I have to know. And I realize there's only so much schools can do - like they can't monitor every body so thoroughly that they catch the glaring look or rude gesture, or cutting off in line, or verbal abuse targeted at a student. And you know how hard it is to teach a special needs child they are being bullied??? poor kids...ugh...This should be a commonly seen poster out there!! Thanks for your comment Lizzie.
